Sunil Shetty, better known as Suniel Shetty was born on August 11, 1961 in Mulki,Mangalore taluk, Karnataka, India. Sunil Shetty changed his name to Suniel Shetty, hoping that his Bollywood fortunes will change. Though he is a successful businessman, sexy Sunil Shetty's love for acting in Bollywood movies brought him to Hindi films, rather than his native state’s Kannada films. He is known as ‘Anna Don’ in the film industry and his love for helping others is widely appreciated. In the Year 1995-96 he was one of the highest paid actors in the industry. Sunil Shetty is also a successful businessman in India. He owns some hotels and a clothing boutique named 'MISCHIEF'. He has also launched a company called Popcorn Entertainment to promote Bollywood actors touring abroad for stage shows and concerts.
Sunil Shetty made his debut in 1992 with "Balwaan", which was not a major hit. Yet his great acting skills got noticed. For two years success until action thriller "Mohra" came along in 1994, the movie stared Akshay Kumar, he and Akshay would later go on and star many super hits like Hera Pehri, Phir Hera Pehri and Awara Pagal Deewana. Then followed his success streak with a comical film "Gopi Kishen" in which he played a dual role. The movie became a blockbuster hit and Shetty began to surface and went on to deliver blockbuster hits through his stunning performances.
